Oneohtrix Point Never is scheduled to replace M.I.A. on the lineup for the Portola Music Festival, which will make its premiere Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 24-25, at Pier 80 in San Francisco, the promoters announced Friday.

M.I.A. dropped off the bill last week due to “an unexpected and serious health matter,” according to Goldenvoice, the company behind the new local festival, as well as the presenter of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts and Stagecoach music festivals in Southern California.

The last-minute addition is the musical alter-ego of the Brooklyn-based producer Daniel Lopatin, who last year released “Magic Oneohtrix Point Never” and scored the Safdie brothers’ 2019 film, “Uncut Gems.” Lopatin, who regularly collaborates with the Weeknd, wrote and produced nearly a dozen songs on “Dawn FM” and served as the musical director for the Canadian pop singer’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Oneohtrix Point Never is scheduled to perform at 9:10 p.m. Sunday in the Ship Tent.

The Portola Music Festival also boasts performances by headliners  Flume  and  Chemical Brothers, as well as electronic music acts such as  Toro y Moi,  James Blake, Kaytranada, Jamie xx, Jungle, Charli XCX, Caroline Polachek, Caribou and Fatboy Slim, among many others.

Tickets for the festival, priced from $199.95 to $399.95, are available at  www.portolamusicfestival.com.
